Structural evaluation and reconstruction design for the historic Los Robles Archway, the signature, Spanish Mission style, gateway over the entrance roadway for the first subdivision built in Tallahassee in the 1930s. This structure, which is on the National Register of Historic Places in America had fallen into disrepair and was nearing collapse. Working with the City and the State’s Historic Resources Architects, REI designed a new galvanized steel superstructure over which the main span of the archway was reconstructed to match its original grandeur. REI received the 2008 Tallahassee/Leon County Historic Preservation Award of Excellence for the project.
